She is recorded as a daughter of the head of the house, William Reeve, a fisherman in the trawling industry, but is actually the daughter of William's son-in-law Samuel Seago and daughter Ellen Seago. She was living at 2 Glebe Terrace, Skirbeck, Lincolnshire, England with William, William's wife Eleanor Reeve, 3 of his children Edith L Reeve, William F I Reeve and Ellen Seago, his son-in-law Samuel Seago, and two other children who are recorded as children of William's but are actually Samuel and Ellen's children, Francis Seago and Doris Seago.
