Marriage 12th December 1875 in St Dunstan and All Saints, Stepney, Middlesex, England. to
Mary Jane March. William residence at the time of the marriage was 15 South Grove. The witnesses were Ishiel Price and Olive Pickett.
From the 1871 census I can see that Ishiel Price was the parish clerk (and would have been about 65 in 1875), and Olive Pickett was the pew opener (usher) of the church (and would have been about 78 in 1875), so it appears that for whatever reason the marriage took place without family and friends present and had to be witnessed by elderly officials within the church. marriage record (freeBMD) marriage certificate LMA (ancestry)

17th July 1891 Census - William's residence was recorded (in the 'rank or profession' box, so might be his place of work) on his death certificate as 23 Brantridge Street, Mile End.
