Birth 19th June 1880 in Mile End Old Town district, London England. The GRO digitised index shows his mother's maiden was March. He was baptised on 29th July 1880 at St Paul's Bow Common, Middlesex, England, the son of William and Mary Jane of 28 Robert Street, whose occupation was fitter. Albert's birthdate is taken from the 1939 register, although a school admission record from 1886 gives his birthdate as 15th March 1881, but this is well after his baptism, so not possible, and the same record also records his older brother's birthdate incorrectly and switches his brother given names around. birth record (freeBMD) baptism record (ancestry)

Death 15th June 1953 at West Denbighshire Hospital, Colwyn Bay, Aled district, West Denbighshire, Wales. Probate was awarded on 6th August 1953 at Peterborough to Ada Eliza Burn widow on an estate of £2181 3s. 11d. death record (freeBMD) probate record (probate search)

20th May 1887 - According to the above record Albert James Burn left Dr Barnado's School on this date, the 'remarks' column in the withdrawal section states 'father out of work 12 ?????' [NB I cannot read the last word, but it might possibly be 'months' or 'weeks' or some such].
